But one of the main reasons why you will love living in the U District is its easy access to water activities. Kayaking, paddle boarding, or sailing along Lake Union or Portage Bay are common summer pass times, while a short bike ride to Gasworks Park along the Burke-Gilman trail can be a treat in any season.
